The myth of Chiron: archetype for our time
The long cycle of materialism has reached its end, with its ultimate achievement of an individualised consciousness. However, this has been accompanied by a generalised sense of alienation, rootlessness and intolerable anxiety maintained at an individual level through narcissistic patterns and mirrored within institutions dominated by power and shame. Only a shift in the structures of consciousness can meet and transform these forces. This can only take place through and within collective healing processes.

Chiron was a revered teacher and guide as well as great healer, astrologer, musician and respected oracle. Unable to heal himself, he changed places with Prometheus who had stolen the fire of freedom from the Gods. His archetype guides us to humility in the face of the excesses of the current times. He teaches us to recognise our limitations and responsibilities as humans – showing us how to heal our wounds and find our freedom in the service of a new age.

Echoing the mystery schools of the past, The Chiron Academy has been set up to provide pathways to freedom, recovering their wisdoms and integrating them into new states of consciousness. This is a process of healing and evolutionary inquiry.

One-to-one services
Mindfulness-based psychotherapy – a trauma-informed process offering deep listening to the wounds of the past
I Ching journeying – a chance to work at depth with the oldest extant cosmological, social and psychological system
Mentoring and supervision – expert guidance that helps you align with your deepest self and manifest this in your work and life
Introductory on-line courses
A series of short courses on the different elements of the Chiron Academy.

Training, retreats and workshops
These events provide the opportunity for you to work at depth through collaborative group and individual inquiry. These are either in person or on-line, but the emphasis will be on evoking and working with the field energies of the unconscious in a spirit of evolutionary inquiry.
Bespoke group supervision or organisational work is also available.

The Shambhala Prophecy
There comes a time when all life on earth is in danger. Great barbarian powers have arisen. Although these powers spend their wealth in preparations to annihilate one another, they have much in common: weapons of unfathomable destructive power and technologies that lay waste our world…Now is the time when great courage – moral and physical courage – is required of the Shambhala warriors, for they must go into the very heart of the barbarian power. To dismantle the weapons, in every sense of the term they must go into the corridors of power where the decisions are made. The Shambhala warriors have the courage to do this because they know that these weapons are mind-made. Made by the human mind they can be unmade by the human mind. The Shambhala warriors train in the use of two weapons: ‘compassion’– the recognition of our pain for the world and ‘wisdom’ – the experience of our radical inter-connectedness with all life.

… our epoch had to come, inevitably, for we were meant to be free. That is we have to be free to seek the spirit out of our inner consciousness, rather than be compelled to seek it, and therefore the current epoch had to come in which all the outer things we are so proud of exist only for the earth but not for the spiritual world. This epoch does not force us to become more spiritual, but leaves us free to choose, either to seek the spirit or to degenerate and be doomed with the outer materialistic culture. The Chiron Academy draws upon the methods and teachings of the mystery schools combined with the methods and findings of modern science to provide pathways to overcoming the conditions of our age.
It offers an introduction to a number of spiritual practices – mindfulness, Tibetan Kum Nye yoga practice, ethical Buddhist practices, the I Ching, astrology and Western hermetic study. This is integrated within the core three-fold method – memory, mirrors and metamorphosis. It also offers an archive and resource, reflecting upon the emergent energies of our time, a living community and a spirit of mutual evolutionary inquiry.
At the core of the work is the recovery of a living relationship with the soul that embraces nature, science, the cosmos and one another. It enables the exploration of an invisible world that lies behind the mind-made terrors of the current age, and opens up to the possibilities of metamorphosis and a new metaphysics.
